Things hated by wisdom and spirituality: sort sightedness

So remember your Creator in the days of your youth:Before the days of adversity come, and the years approach when you will say,“I have no delight in them”;(Ecclesiastes 12:1 HCSB )
In the medical profession, people with eye sight problems can be classified into two categories, those suffering from myopia and those suffering from hypermetropia. I want us to focus on myopia because it means sort sightedness and I want us to look at why living a sort sighted life is dangerous.
Many people in this life have a myopic view of life, meaning they only consider the things at are happening now, others only consider the things they can see know and as a result they don’t think of anyone else besides themselves.
The hidden things belong to the Lord our God, but the revealed things belong to us and our children forever, so that we may follow all the words of this law.(Deuteronomy 29:29 HCSB)

The things that you do, you are not only doing them for yourself but your family. The reason we have families that have been wealth for generations is because they know and understand that their actions will affect those coming after them, hence the those to live their lives for the benefit of others. Even God did something that benefited generations when he gave his only begotten son.

For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world that He might condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.(John 3:16-17 HCSB)

There are two categories of sort sightedness

1. Mental sort sightedness

2. Spiritual sort sightedness

I’ll share with you the first category next week

I pray that God will help you increase your view of life so that you can make better decisions and create a good foundation for the coming generation
