Faith : why you need to have works

Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.( James 2:17)

Ladies and gentlemen your faith suffocates when you do not use it. Many people have been in church, listened and meditated on the Word of God but we can’t see the results of their faith.

Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.( James 2:19-23)

You must put your faith to use and apply it on a daily basis. As a Christian you live by faith not by sight. Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.( Habakkuk 2:4). As a child of God you are not supposed to be controlled by the ways of this world. You are supposed to live the life which God has purposed for you to live through the promises He made to you.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.( John 1:12-13)

I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.( Psalms 82:6)

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:( 1 Peter 2:9)

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation( 2 Corinthians 5:17-18)

Don’t just know who you are and what you can go, use your God given abilities and life according to God’s will for you.
