Last time we were looking at how your appetite if it’s not controlled can make you loose your salvation and we’ll continue from where we left.
Loving food, drink or enjoyment has the ability to take away anything good in your life and it is one of the things that the Bible advices us against. They are things we should avoid while there are other things that we should check how we use or do them.
Be not among winebibbers; among riotous eaters of flesh: For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.(Proverbs 23:20-21)
Esau so loved food that he was willing to sell his birth right just to eat. And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?(Genesis 25:32). It’s rather unfortunate that people are selling their future for sleep, food, alcohol or sex just because they want to get a temporary fix fir fun and enjoyment and just like Esau they will live to regret it. Then Jacob gave bread and lentil stew to Esau; he ate, drank, got up, and went away. So Esau despised his birthright.(Genesis 25:34).
Never give up permanent richies for temporary enjoyment because if you give up tomorrow’s bread because of today you’ll be hungry by tomorrow.
